Kassim Majaliwa amesema serikali ya awamu ya sita inayoongozwa na Rais Samia Suluhu Hassan kwa kutambua umuhimu wa kukuza ujuzi kwa vijana imeongeza bajeti ya mafunzo ya Ufundi stadi kutoma Bilioni 54 ya mwaka 2021 hadi kufikia Bilioni 85 ili kutanua fursa zaidi za vijana kunufaika na mafunzo hayo.
Waziri Mkuu Majaliwa amebainisha hayo mapema leo Machi 18, 2025, wakati alipomuwakilisha Rais Samia Suluhu Hassan kwenye Kilele cha miaka 30 ya Taasisi ya Ufundi stadi VETA, Akisema Taasisi hiyo imefikisha miaka 30 kwa mafanikio makubwa katima kujidhatiti kwenye kuboresha mafunzo na programu mbalimbali.
“Serikali ya Awamu ya Sita kwa kutambua umuhimu wa kuwekeza zaidi katika kutoa mafunzo ya ufundi stadi nchini, imeongeza bajeti ya VETA kutoka bilioni 54 mwaka 2021 hadi kufikia bilioni 85 kwa mwaka wa Fedha 2024/25. Na hili ni ongezeko la asilimia 57.4.” – Amekaririwa Waziri Mkuu.
Waziri Mkuu Majaliwa ametumia jukwaa hilo pia kutoa shukrani zake kwa Rais Samia kwa kuwakumbuka vijana na kutambua umuhimu wa mafunzo ya ufundi stadi na kufungua fursa za ujuzi kwa vijana, akiahisi kusimamia sekta hiyo katika kutimiza maono na malengo ya Rais Samia ambaye ameongeza bajeti katika ujenzi wa vyuo vingine 65 ambapo kukamilika kwake kutaifanya Tanzania kuwa na vyuo 145 vya ufundi stadi kwenye ngazi zote za mikoa na wilaya.
